I used Blue Voda website builder, and then I found out to host the site you have to use VodaHost, which makes have to pay like 7 dollars for it. How can I add this website to the web for free without having to have something like www.duh.hi.com I just want www.whatever.com TY

You can have your domin hosted by yahoo. Just yahoo domain. Oh for $$ of course.

.com domains are not free, you will have to pay to have your own domain.
there is free hosting sites such as 110mb.com and t35.com but in order to have whatever.com you need to pay.

Hello ,
the only way to add your website to the internet with a domain name like :www.yourname.com is to buy a Domain name from a company with domain name registration privileges.
it may cost you some $$ but there are many plans and companies to check and decide.. some may also offer to give you free names if you host your website to their servers [ of course you may pay to host it there but the name may be free ]
PS. if you want , just tell me to give ya a list of some good hosters [also tell me where are you from/or where you want it hosted ]

If you used their builder, you may have a problem getting the files to another hosting service. You may be able to copy the HTML to Windows Notepad and then save it to your PC. You will have to look at each page you created and then view the HTML through your browser. Then copy the HTML into the clipboard and paste it into a new file. Save the file with the name that you used when you created the file within their builder.
This won’t work if your page has more than HTML in it. If they are playing games with your page and adding proprietary server-side controls, then you might have to start over with a new hosting service.

Run your own web site. I like the Uniform Server package – it has security set up for real use. (And it’s free). If you’re running a router you’ll have to forward port 80 to your computer. portforward.com is a good site for port forwarding. You’ll want a named domain (instead of numbers), so use dyndns.com – you can get a free account.
All it costs is time – no money for any of it. Except for your own domain name – that costs a few dollars a year.

That totaly ***** about blue voda. If you want to use a nice and easy flash website builder check out vipersitebuilder.com . Their website builder is alot better then the blue voda guys and you are able to use your own domain name. All you have to do is change your A record at your domian registry. Totaly easy. Hell you can call your registry and they will do it for you
