my website builder is not doing work, and i already paid her. what can i do?

I am building a personal website, paid someone to do it for me, and she was great before I paid her, it’s almost finished and ready to be lauched, i paid her in full and now I havent’ heard from her in 2 weeks, and she keeps saying “it will be up soon”…promise. What action can I take? all i have is her email address and her name. and we have no written agreement.

    Great lesson!

    1. Have as much information on the vendor.
    2. Have a written agreement
    3. Get references
    4. Check there website

    Brenda sorry to hear that this is happening to you. I don’t think that there is much that you can do legally. With no contract in hand you have no legal recourse it is basically their word against yours. What is your website by the way, I’d love to see it even in it’s unfinished version.

    Again sorry to hear this happened. All that you could do is continue to bug the designer.
