BUT, for me. and im an easy going guy who likes how geocities does it with the sitebuilder, its so easy, drag and drop, layering you can bring to front, bring to back, track it all around. unlike dreamweaver where its basically an extremely advanced Microsoft word. Now im lookin for a program that is easy like geocities site builder, i stumbled upon a program at school one day, i opened it up just to mess around with it for a few seconds, it seemed to have an easy interface like sitebuilder! I need some suggestions on other programs like this. any suggestions? please dont hold back. money is not a problem. thank you torrents…

It’s funny that you say Dreamweaver is basically “an extremely advanced Microsoft Word.” That statement right there (along with your ravings about how “great” Geocities SiteBuilder is) shows that you know absolutely nothing about web design. If money really isn’t an option, spend the time and money to learn HTML, CSS, Java, and/or Flash and build a real website. The drag-n-drop crap is for bored third graders.

Well, i think that Dreamweaver is quite good, but you need to have some skill to get a decent website out of it, i just had to get a book on CSS to get a lot out of it, and i’m lucky that i know a lot of html tags. It isn’t the easiest, but you can make high quality websites from it, that look professional, with the right person
I think that FrontPage, which has been discontinued and replaced with Expression Web (like Dreamweaver except microsoft) is a good program for people who aren’t really the next geek on google, because it has quite a lot of themes, and it has simple text editing, like Microsoft word, as well as built in little fun things, like marquees and banners, and it also helps with navigation. It does get very repetetive, and you always get similar quality websites using FrontPage.
I would say that Dreamweaver is better for eperienced people, that want to make quite good designs, which are self inspired, but to get a lot out of it, you need knowledge of CSS, and you probably need Fireworks (and probably photoshop) of the same version.
FrontPage is good for people new to Web Design, due to it’s simplicity, but it does get wuite repetitive in the design process. Theme, type, put flash, upload, repeat.
