It really depends what kind of sites you’re trying to build. Like anything else there are many levels of tools, some are easy to use without much power, some are very powerful but very complicated.
Wordpress is relatively easy to use, but it has its limits. But on the other hand it is free.

You can also try the Trellix Sitebuilder on Web.com

If you want to build a blog then wordpress is a good option
But for a traditional website then Dreamweaver is the best option. But it costs a bit of money
if you want a free option then sea monkey or NVU are options

In my opinion, the self hosted version of Wordpress is suitable for the vast majority of small business websites, and it is what I now recommend to the majority of business owners. Especially if they want to update the site themselves.
You can use it as a blog, with a running series of posts – or as a static website by using pages. Or a combination of both.
There are many free and paid templates available, as well as lots of training, tutorials, support forums, and expertise.
A huge variety of add-ons are available that will perform a variety of tasks.
Google LOVES wordpress sites, and if your site is going to contain articles that are keyword optimised for SEO purposes then using Wordpress is a definite advantage.
If you are technically minded, you should be able to get your head around the basics is say, 10 hours or so. Wordpress really is about the most flexible website building system I’ve found.
