Anyone built a website using Yahoo for a host and their site builder templates?

I’m being told I shouldn’t use their templates because if I need to move the site down the road it will be very complicated. I’m being told to use “front page” or other templates and then I can put them wherever. Any insight you can share would be great.

If you’re at a point in your website-building career, where you’re more comfortable using an actual template, than writing your own HTML/CSS code, then I don’t see why using a pre-designed template would hinder you very much. By the time you’re ready to “move the site,” you’ll hopefully have learned more and more about HTML and will be able to advance to a different layout that you’ve created yourself (or with the aid of HTML software, etc). Use the Yahoo templates as a jumping off point while you learn your own HTML.
You can learn more about HTML at and so that you can advance your website and customize to more meet your needs.
Good luck!

site builders are good if you plan on staying with a certian site, but if you plan on changing sites, then you should take the time to learn hyper text mark up language, or HTML. To access the HTML editor, just open notepad for windows or simpletext for apple-macintosh(apple mac). for instructions on how to programHTML, try boogiejack.com or run a search to find another site that instructs.
